Where: 20 Cowgate, Peterborough, PE2 1NA

Duration: 70 weeks over 2 years (420 Guided Learning Hours minimum)

Time: Thursday 11am-5:45pm

Classroom based, face to face in a group of maximum 12 with two tutors.

Starting Date:  12th September 2024

Cost: £2.900 plus £366 CPCAB registration fee per year.

Attendance: 90% minimum face-to-face presence.

Age: 19+

Previous qualifications: Level 2 and Level 3 certificates in counselling studies

Why Study TC-L4 at BGTC?

This two-year part-time qualification gives learners the knowledge, skills and competencies to work as a therapeutic counsellor in an agency context in both health care and non-medical settings. 

Successful completion of this course means you will be able to provide a therapeutic counselling service- initially within the context of an agency’s service framework but later (with experience and support from the supervisor, or by completing PC-L5 or its equivalent) may progress to  independent practice. 

Our students engage in practical exercises and role play, developing self-awareness and empathy, learning to read body language, understanding ethics and boundaries, working without prejudice or stereotypes, giving and receiving feedback and taking part in group work and discussions.
