Our team

We are all passionate about mental health and training new generations of counsellors in a warm, supportive atmosphere of our centre. We create a safe and empowering environment for you to learn, not just about the profession, but also about yourself, whilst creating connections that hopefully will last life-time.

Ania Augustynowicz- Clark

Integrative Psychotherapist (BACP Registered Member) and Clinical Supervisor, Level 3 and 4 Tutor
Director of BGTC

I am a Level 7 qualified psychotherapist integrating person-centred approach with Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy and Attachment Theory. I have experience working with Young Adults, Adults and Children and specialise in supporting survivors of Domestic Abuse in trauma-informed therapy. I am also a qualified supervisor.

I lecture counselling and am passionate about supporting students in their journey towards a vocation in the field, as well as supporting my clients and offering a warm, safe and judgment free place to resolve their issues or just talk.

I feel lucky to be able to share my experience and knowledge with further colleagues and support them in part of this journey of self discovery, as well as learning to be a helper or a counsellor.

I am mad about cats and reading, love to dance and do paint.

Maria Bajkowski

Integrative Counsellor (BACP Registered Member)
Director of BGTC

I began my career as a teacher and over the last fifteen years have taught all ages from toddlers to adults, living in four different continents. These experiences have driven me in my work to focus on an adaptability at the heart of the needs of the students, giving a holistic, challenging experience. This is carried over into my counselling, working with clients from all backgrounds with an integrative approach that keeps a person-centred modality at the foundation of all their work.

Another part of my life as a teacher has been about building confidence in the assessment so the real learning can take place and as a CPCAB examiner I can continue to do this at BGTC.

Having the opportunity to introduce students to the world of counselling, with all the questions and new experiences that brings, is a real privilege.

On a personal note, I love to dance and musical theatre is my guilty pleasure.

Jo Chadwick

Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor
Level 4 Tutor

Hello there

My name is Jo and I came to counselling training through many professional incarnations that saw me working in team leader roles, project management and HR positions.

Since qualifying in 2007 I have worked in university settings, charity organisations and private practice.

In everything I've done it is the privilege of being able to be alongside someone as they grapple with their personal growth that I find extremely rewarding. I am passionate about experiential learning and the translation of theory into practice and it's this energy and experience that I bring to training roles.

On a personal note I'm based in the gorgeous Derbyshire Peak District and enjoy yoga and hiking, which is just as well as I also have a passion for baking (and eating) cakes!

Jill Wagner

Integrative Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor (Member of BACP and NCPS Accredited)
Level 4 Tutor

My name is Jill, I have been practising as a counsellor for seven years, I am a Clinical Supervisor and have been teaching Integrative counselling for three years. I came to counselling as part of, what I now consider to be, an organic journey. I was an adoptive parent, and a foster carer and as a result supported children and prospective adopters on their journey, Attachment theories fascinate me, so when life changed, curiosity led me to explore where I could put my experience and my desire to learn, to good use.

I’ve worked as a Clinical Lead for a charity working with families with children with life limiting illnesses, who I continue to support, I have a private practice and provide Clinical Supervision. I love what I do, and even more so, when I see others learning and sharing the passion for this profession.
